Kmyle – Paris (Voiski Remix)
French techno artist Kmyle delivers some pretty scintillating scorchers. Usually feeling a bit dystopian, and even sombre at times. With dancefloor functionality at the forefront, his productions are also exceptional at getting out the emotional side of the listener. A 2015 release on Skryptöm Records, Voiski maximises the synths of the ‘Paris’ original mix in true epic style, delivering a crafty peaktime banger. The producer is a regular DJ at venues such as Java, LaBatofar & Rex Club, where this remix truly feels right at home.
Pounding bass like Mike Tyson hitting away at your eardrums ensure this track sends vibrations through your system. The huge, soaring alarms from the original see-saw in at higher pace, and as Voiski keeps the heat up, his signature trancey melody kicks in. Jittery and harmonic, the synths give the whole piece an extra elevation of euphoria. With the delayed synths in the background the sound desk and light guys at a club would be either having a mare, or frothing at the lips.
Its plain to see why Voiski is closely associated with Brooklyn’s L.I.E.S records. The producer shares the label’s vision of distributing tracks that create a hypnotic state. This track is a DJ’s delight, equally adaptable to a melodic set as it is to a more compact mix. Whether you’re captured by its melody or the bassline, expect the dancefloor to trip out either way.
